YOUR ORDINARY WORLD.
AN EXTRAORDINARY EXCUSE TO NOTICE.

Two unrelated things sometimes align so perfectly that it feels like a deliberate callback in a movie. A repeated peculiar color, the same strange number, or two matching patterns can turn a mundane moment into a tiny mystery.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR.

Find two items you encountered independently. Describe the unexpected shared detail, then explain why the pairing made you smile. The more specific the harmless detail, the better your report.

AN EXAMPLE REPORT.

Example report: “My mug and the weather forecast both had a tiny purple lightning bolt today.”

WHY THIS IS FUN.

Coincidences are normal features of a busy world. The fun is noticing them and writing a sharp one-paragraph story about the pairing.

KEEP IT HARMLESS.

Avoid photographing strangers or collecting private information. Select harmless objects, signs, packaging or other details you can observe without interruption.

FIELD DOSSIER · SUBMISSION OPTIONAL
